| A couple of points about this weekend.
1. We currently have maybe 2 to 3 inches of snow, and it has been raining nearly nonstop over the past two days. In case you aren't sure, being that you aren't here to witness it yourself, it is in fact the worst weather that can possibly exist.
2. When Kristy isn't here, I tend to eat things like a big bowl of beans with potato chips crunched up in it.
3. When I was at the library today, I overheard the following two conversations, both featuring Boulder hippies.
Conversation one.
Old Hippie: (to another unseen hippie) I bought an ounce of weed yesterday and gave the whole thing away. I can only hope that someday, someone else will come up to me and get me stoned.
Reply: It's karma, man.
Conversation two.
Hippie 1: Hey Bruce. You got snacks?
Hippie 2 (Bruce): ...
Hippie 1: Bruce.
Bruce: ...
Hippie 1: Bruce, you got snacks?
Bruce: Crack?
(There is a long pause.)
Hippie 1: Yeah.
(silence)
Bruce: You're looking for crack?
Hippie 1: Why, you got any?
Bruce: No. I haven't done it in awhile, but I'll do some.
Hippie 1: I was asking if you had any snacks.
Bruce: Oh. I thought you were looking for crack.
(At this point, another library patron snickers. Did I mention that they didn't feel the need to whisper)
Hippie 1: No, you got any snacks?
Bruce: Cheese. You want some?
Hippie 1: Let's go.
(They leave. As I said, they didn't bother whispering, and it was in the "be quiet, we're studying" section, so everyone CLEARLY heard them)
Fricken Boulder.

| I've been off the radar for a little while. I forgot to tell you guys that I was giving up social networking for Lent. Anytime I mention that, people laugh for some reason. I guess it sounds like a joke. At any rate, today is Sunday, and I'm allowed to peruse online, so I wanted to show you guys some of the pictures that we've taken recently.
Last weekend, we went to a semi-ghost town called Gold Hill. Neat little place. It was genuinely Old, and had a bunch of ex-hippies living there.
This is a school zone sign, since you probably can't make it out
We also found a monument telling about some old Masonic lodge, with a name scratched out.
Yesterday, we took a little walk along the front range in northern Boulder. Highlights included parachuters and wildlife.
That's all for now, see ya! | | |
